A few years ago, during a crazy thunder storm, our house was actually struck by lightning! We were inside and saw a very bright flash through the windows. There was also a very large cracking sound - so much so, that we could hardly hear the smoke alarms going off! Thankfully, our home sustained only minor damage. My family and I were all able to get out safely. We are grateful to the quick response of neighbors and the fire department! Our neighbors altered us to the smoke coming out of our eaves. After a call to 911, we had about 3-4 firetrucks come to our aid. This event made me pause and think about - life!

At the time, I was working at a job that I didn’t really care for. I’ve been a freelance graphic designer for several years, but didn’t want to go back to “working for others”. Then I saw a course on Surface Pattern Design. That sounded so exciting and very appealing to me and my work-life balance goals. You might say a huge light went off over my head! So, here I am, starting a new business after a full life of raising my children. I love to create pretty things - imaginative things. And to create lots of textural, filler-type patterns.

As I am just getting started, this website will change and grow with me! I hope you come along and see where this might take us!
